The Hilltop Grille is a great meeting place. They have good food, but it is expensive for what you get. Our church has lunches there for leadership, etc. and the service is good, even with the large group. There is a lot of UGA memorabilia for sports fans. If you are looking for an above average place to take a group to dine, this is a good option.

FOOD: Not so good...the salmon was cold, dry, fishy and just bad. The whole meal left me unsatisfied. The sweet potatoes were pretty decent though. SERVICE: Our waiter just acted like he had something more pressing to attend to. He hardly said a word to us, and just drop the food off and waited till we were ready to leave and dropped off the bill without even a smile and nod. ATMOSPHERE: The outside of the place looks great. That was actually what attracted us to the place. However, the inside looked unfinished. It just lacked any sort of decor or style. Their was no intimacy about the place. Not very pleasant.

We have a standing reservation on football weekends on Friday nights and have never been disappointed. Even on the busiest games, they take very good care of their customers and the few times the service has been a little slow, they have more than made up for it keeping the drinks coming and management checking on us. Great place for "star" sightings!Teri C

I worked at Hill-Top Grille for about 8 months. 1st of all if you want your moneys worth from this place get the daily specials. The menu is over priced, but i liked the food we cooked. Te best steak is the Blue filet mignon, the best sea food is a tie w/ the crab cakes and the crab au gratin garnished w/ toast points. In my opinion there needs to be more pasta sauces. Pasta is good though. Capers add a nice touch to the pasta. Working here i was very happy with the the cooks. Chef Burt Lumpkin is a super nice guy w/ a nice twist on sea food.

Hilltop Grille deserves a better reputation than it has received on Judy's Book. The prices are a little high but the food is worth it. The service is pretty standard but can be a little slow sometimes. It is a great place to go for drinks after a hard day at work or in class. The atmosphere is very chill and relaxed.
